Kachikwu received a banana peel from Buhari

Dumebi Kachikwu, the Action Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate for the 2023 elections, asserts that by delegating the elimination of the fuel subsidy to his successor, President Bola Tinubu, former President Muhammadu Buhari handed his successor a banana peel.

This was said by Kachikwu on Monday while he was a guest on Politics Today on Channels Television.

He pointed out that Buhari pushed responsibility for the elimination of fuel subsidies to Tinubu’s administration because he did not want to accept it.

“Clearly, President Buhari, who is leaving office, handed the President a banana peel by failing to secure subsidies past June.

He clearly did not want to handle that, so he transferred responsibility to the next administration.

We are aware that the Nigerian economy is in shambles, the government lacks financing, and the NNPC is on the verge of collapse.

“They are estimated to be owed about two trillion naira at the moment, and if they continue to fund subsidies, they would disintegrate. Kachikwu stated that President Tinubu had just informed Nigerians of the circumstance he encountered.
