Adamu Garba claims that ECOWAS is keeping Tinubu from fulfilling his commitments to Nigerians

Adamu Garba, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has urged the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) members not to interfere with President Bola Tinubu’s ability to fulfill his primary responsibility to Nigeria.

Garba claimed that without Nigeria, the ECOWAS bloc was a hollow shell and that ECOWAS was enticing Tinubu to join them in their failings and those of their French overlords.

The APC leader urged ECOWAS members to return home and tidy their homes in a message on his social media page on Saturday.

Additionally, Garba charged that some ECOWAS members had betrayed Nigeria’s efforts while it was battling and risking its life for ECOWAS.

“While we are fighting and risking everything for ECOWAS, the same member states are betraying our efforts right in front of the people,” he wrote.

“Abeg ECOWAS needs to stop annoying our President. They ought to allow him concentrate on carrying out his main duties for Nigeria. We Nigerians have faith in and confidence in our President’s ability to make the best decisions for our nation. Formerly unsuccessful Niger leaders and their colonial allies cannot be saved from their glaring shortcomings.

“Without Nigeria, the so-called ECOWAS bloc is a hollow shell. While there is much to be done in Nigeria and we need our President to concentrate on our nation, they are attempting to entice our President to assist them in their failings and those of their French masters.

“They should all return to their home nations, clean their homes, and leave us alone,” someone said. There is much to be done in Nigeria, and President Tinubu needs to lead us there for the next eight years without interruption. Our top priority is this.
