Buni, the governor of Yobe State, approves N619 million for pension and gratuity payments

The sum of N619 million has been granted by Mai Mala Buni, governor of Yobe State, for the payment of local government employees’ unpaid gratuities and pension arrears.

In a statement made available to newsmen, Mamman Mohammed, Director-General Press and Media Affairs to Governor Buni, revealed this.

The announcement states that N169, 875, 565.11 will be given to the families of the 93 officers who passed away and N449,624,118.61 will be given to the 274 living retirees.

Another news is that Governor Buni has given his approval for the hiring of 102 Allied Health students at a monthly wage of Grade Level 5.

Students majoring in B.sc. physiotherapy, pharmacy, radiography, nursing, and medical laboratory sciences at various universities across the nation are among the recipients.
