This was stated in a statement that Chief Abia Onyike, Director, Media and Publicity, PDP Governorship Campaign Council, signed on Wednesday in Abakaliki.
When he spoke with journalists in Abakaliki, Ude, one of Ebonyi’s founding fathers and a staunch LP supporter in Okposi, Ohaozara Local Government Area, confirmed the development.
He claimed that the reason he decided to rejoin his former party was to assist in the struggle to liberate the state from its political impasse.
During the struggle for the establishment of Ebonyi by the late military head of state, Gen. Sani Abacha, Ude, a founding member of the PDP, was well-known for sponsoring media advertisements on his own.
He stated that the PDP was capable of bringing the state’s citizens peace, security, and freedom back.
Ude stated, “I am in the PDP now to join the rest of our patriotic forces who yearn for the freedom of movement, freedom of association, freedom for liberty, and progress.”
Dr. Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii, the state PDP governorship candidate, urged the populace to join the new political liberation movement to overthrow the APC-led state administration.
“I am reassuring the people of Ebonyi that the PDP can reclaim its stolen mandate and reposition the state through good governance to serve the masses’ welfare and well-being,” I said.
“The key to success in life is to “have no fear.” If you are pushed and keep running, you will never stop running. Ebonyi will be set free once more with God’s help, he said.
