During his campaign in Yobe State, Atiku stated, “If elected, I will reopen all international borders.”

Atiku Abubakar, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for president in the general elections in 2023, has reiterated his determination to, if elected, reopen all international borders and improve national security.

This was said by Atiku yesterday as he spoke to a huge crowd at a presidential rally in Damaturu, Yobe State.

The presidential candidate stated that the goal of his plan to reopen the borders is to encourage business between Nigeria and its neighbors.

“Do you want peace to return to Yobe?” Atiku asked the crowd. and a raucous “Yes” was their response.

After that, he reassured them that Yobe would regain peace if they cast their ballots for the PDP in the upcoming general elections.

To ensure that our children continue to attend school, we will ensure that our schools remain open.

Atiku gave the assurance that “We also promise to empower our young men and women by giving them capital to set up businesses in order to live a successful life.”

The PDP presidential candidate urged the state’s voters to turn out in large numbers and cast their ballots for the party in order to make a significant shift.

The party’s national leadership officially welcomed over 460 APC defectors into the PDP at the presidential campaign rally and presented the party’s flag to Shariff Abdullahi, the candidate for governor of Yobe State.
