Police sources in Durban have confirmed that South African rapper Kiernan “AKA” Forbes was shot to death on Florida Road on Friday night.
According to an IOL report, the drive-by shooting also resulted in the death of an unidentified individual who is believed to be a close friend of AKA. Another person who is thought to be AKA’s bodyguard was also wounded.
IOL reports that AKA was shot and killed in a drive-by shooting while he was standing outside the Wish Restaurant. Provincial police had not yet made any official statements regarding the incident.
Two years ago, Nelli Tembe, the South African hip hop artist AKA’s fiancée, fell from a hotel’s 10th floor and died. On Sunday, April 11, 2021, the incident took place at the Pepperclub Hotel in Central Cape Town.
