The President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan, has received with shock the death of the newly appointed Chairman of the Caretaker Management Committee of Karasuwa Local Government Area of Yobe State, Lawan Gana.

In a press statement on Friday through his Special Adviser on Media to President of the Senate Ola Awoniyi, the Nation’s Chief Lawmaker commiserated with members of the family of the deceased, the good people of the Karasuwa local government, the government and people of Yobe State on the sad loss.
The statement said, “Alhaji Lawan Karasuwa, was a grassroots politician very much loved by his people.

“He made a great impact in the state as an Honourable member of the Yobe State House of Assembly between 2003 and 2007 and as Caretaker Chairman of Karasuwa Local Government before his reappointment to the same position,” Lawan said.
The Senate President described as unfortunate the fact that Karasuwa died on the eve of his inauguration to continue with his good work for the community and the state.

He, however, prayed Allah to comfort his family, forgive his sins and admit his soul to Aljannah Firdaus.
Recall that, Hon. Lawan Gana died yesterday at the Federal Medical Centre, Nguru after a brief illness.
The deceased was buried yesterday at Karasuwa Galu village according to Islamic rites.
