In response to Tinubu’s contentious comment, Atiku made this statement on Wednesday in Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun State.
The petroleum crisis and the redesign of the naira, according to Tinubu, who ran for office in the state, were an attempt to disrupt the 2023 elections.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for president, Bola Tinubu, has started sobbing over his impending defeat, according to a statement released by Phrank Shaibu, his Special Assistant for Public Communication. “Obviously frustrated by his inability to stop the cashless policy and currency redesign of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), which will curb vote buying and enhance the credibility of next month’s election, Atiku said in response.

It is amusing that Tinubu is only making a statement about the fuel shortage, which began in various parts of the nation in February 2022. Fuel lines have been present in Lagos, where Tinubu claims to be the landowner, since last November. Given that elections are 30 days away, Tinubu’s attempt to distance himself from his party’s shortcomings seems questionable. He is already blaming the shortage of fuel and the devaluation of the naira for his impending electoral defeat. On February 25, 2023, Tinubu should resign or get ready to be humiliated.
