According to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Campaign Council in Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi, an ex-Minister of Transportation, is secretly working for Atiku Abubakar, the party’s presidential candidate.
Amaechi was also accused by the council of belonging to the “wicked cabal” that is making life difficult for Nigerians.
These remarks were made in a Monday statement by Chief Ogbonna Nwuke, the Rivers State PDP-CC Director of Publicity and Communications.
Amaechi was pressed by Nwuke to deny the allegations.
According to a portion of the statement, “Only recently, he (Amaechi) reconciled with members of the presidential campaign council in Rivers State as part of the carefully woven plot.”
“Let him deny that he’s one of those that are working with Alhaji Atiku Abubakar at this time to undermine the genuine aspiration of the people of southern Nigeria,” he said in response.
