A football official was suspended for a year after peeing on the field

Auwal Mohammed, Shooting Stars’ camp commandant, has been suspended by the Interim Management Committee (IMC) for bringing the game into disrepute.

Before Shooting Stars’ matchday nine match against Akwa United on Sunday in Ibadan, Mohammed was seen urinating in the center circle.

The official was immediately removed from all NPFL-related activities for a year.

The club also receives a fine of N500,000 for failing to control Mohammed’s behavior.

Shooting Stars can appeal the decision, but if they accept the verdict, they must pay the fine within seven days.

In the match, the Oluyole Warriors held Akwa United to a 2-2 draw.
