Advertisement for All Eyes on the Judiciary: ARCON suspends workers due to approval

In response to their acceptance of the “All Eyes on Judiciary” billboard advertisement in Abuja, Olalekan Fadolapo, the Director-General of the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON), has suspended the director and deputy director of regulations.

This was revealed by Fadolapo in a statement on Tuesday.

He claims that by allowing an advertisement “blackmailing the Nigerian Judiciary and the Honourable Justices of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal,” the two were suspended for failing to exercise due diligence.

He continued by saying that the advertisement might spark public disturbance and disrupt public tranquility.

The Director and Deputy Director of Regulations have both been suspended as a result. According to him, the suspension is necessary to conduct a fair inquiry into the problem.

As Nigerians wait in dread for the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal’s decision, the advertisement titled “ALL Eyes on the Judiciary” has been released.

The Independent National Electoral Commission declared President Bola Ahmed Tinubu the winner of the 2023 presidential election; however, the candidates for the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, and the Labour Party, Peter Obi, contested the outcome.
