Arsenal will play big teams in the Champions League – Guardiola

Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola has said it is important that Arsenal has qualified for next season’s Champions League.

The Gunners’ spot among Europe’s elite was confirmed on Wednesday, following their 4-1 defeat at City.

Nottingham’s 3-1 win over Brighton, however, confirmed Arsenal’s return to the Champions League for the first time since 2016.

“Look at Arsenal. They are already in the Champions League. Ask their owner or CEO what it means after seven years out the competition.

“Next season Arsenal will be playing the elite, best teams in Europe. And we’ll be there. It’s a success, absolutely,” Guardiola told a press conference on Friday.
