Brother is beaten unconscious by a man for fresh naira notes

Tochukwu Ihenacho, a man in his mid-30s, beat Philip Ihenacho, his younger brother, on Saturday till he fell into a coma for using N5,000 in fresh notes that had been provided to him to keep.

It was learned that the incident took place in Kubwa’s Pipeline neighborhood, a satellite town in the FCT’s Bwari Area Council.

Hassan Aliyu, a witness, revealed to our reporter that “Tochukuwu gave Philip his younger brother N5,000 new notes to keep for him last Tuesday. They share a home. You are aware of how challenging obtaining the new notes is.

Tochukuwu asked for the money on Saturday. He pummeled his younger brother into unconsciousness after learning it had been wasted. He needed help from neighbors, who took him to the hospital.

A reporter from Dailytrust who was at the residence where the event occurred saw that Philip was doing better.
