Ebonyi South’s New Leader: “I’m A Lucky Man, I Won’t Fail”

Newly sworn-in Senator Anthony Okorie Ani of Ebonyi South has assured his constituents that he will not let them down and has characterized himself as a fortunate guy.

At a banquet held in his honor on Tuesday night, Ani made this statement. Among those in attendance were Ebonyi State APC leaders, the Minister of Works, Engr. Dave Umahi, and Ani’s former colleagues from the University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID).

After President Bola Tinubu appointed Umahi to the position of minister, Prof. Ani took over as the 10th Senate senator representing Ebonyi South.

Ani promised the people of Ebonyi South who elected him to the National Assembly that he would not let them down, saying that he had never failed a class in his life.

“I feel quite fortunate. I feel truly fortunate. While recognizing the importance that Minister of Works Umahi had in his rise to the position of senator, Ani just expressed his gratitude.

“You will live long to reap the benefits that are found in this life,” Ani prayed for Umahi, while simultaneously expressing gratitude to his former colleagues from the University of Maiduguri.
