Egbetokun, the newly appointed IG of Police, starts work at Force Headquarters

Kayode Egbetokun, the recently appointed acting Inspector General of Police, has started work at the Force Headquarters in Abuja.

Usman Baba, the most recent IGP, officially handed over to Egbetokun at around midday.

Egbetokun and the Service Chiefs were both named as the new acting IGP on Tuesday by President Bola Tinubu.

At the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Wednesday, Vice President Kashim Shettima presented him with a decoration.

The acting IGP proclaimed war on all criminals and Nigeria’s adversaries shortly after receiving his award.

Egbetokun claimed that he felt ready to hunt down all criminals and Nigeria’s adversaries like a tiger and lion.
