Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, has given Nigerians a reason to fire him if he is elected president in the upcoming election.

If they steer Nigeria in the wrong direction, Obi said, Nigerians should fire him and Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, his running mate.

Obi advised against supporting politicians who have deprived 95 million Nigerians of their basic needs in a speech he delivered at the Support Group Conveners Conference in Abuja.

Obi urged Nigerians to reject the previous political system, which contributed to poverty and debt, in this regard.

He urged Nigerians to uproot the previous political system and take control of the country.

He emphasized that “This is your project” and assured Nigerians of his dedication to the New Nigeria Project.

To stem the tide of corruption, Obi urged Nigerians to demand accountability from public officials.

Obi stated, emphasizing that “We can make Nigeria work:” As drivers whose duty it will be to take Nigeria to a destination of peace, unity, and progress if elected as president and vice president respectively in the coming February 25th general elections, Dr. Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed and I will “sack” each other whenever it is discovered that we are leading Nigerians in the opposite direction.

He lamented Nigeria’s high poverty rate and insisted that the country lacked any justification to be included among the world’s poor.

In the past ten years, our nation has only produced poverty. About 65 million Nigerians were poor in 2012, according to estimates. It is now approximately 95 million. Additionally, those responsible for it are requesting additional prison terms. to what end?” He pressed.
