The Football Association has fined Arsenal and Manchester City for not controlling their players during this month’s Premier League match at Emirates Stadium.
City was fined £75,000, and the Gunners were fined £65,000
In addition, Arsenal received a £20,000 fine that was suspended from a disciplinary proceeding in the FA Cup match against Oxford United.
Both of the title rivals admitted the charges, and they had until Tuesday to respond.
Throughout the match, which City won 3-1, both teams gathered around referee Anthony Taylor at various points. Arsenal protested when City’s Erling Haaland was given a penalty kick, but VAR overturned the decision.
City was dissatisfied with the decision to award Arsenal a penalty in the first half following Ederson’s challenge and an Eddie Nketiah foul.
