Yakubu Ajaka remarked
“As is typical in developing democracies like ours, choosing candidates for the parties always presents a number of difficulties, most of which are based on sentiments like religion, ethnicity, and geopolitical arrangements.
Among politicians and the electorate, the cry of marginalization has also evolved into a frequent and well-liked element.
These feelings had been present throughout our political lives for a considerable amount of time. Unfortunately, we appear to disregard qualifications like skill and aptitude in favor of these sentiments. This has no advantage to anyone, not even the people that stir up such sentiments, and is partially to blame for our current situation.
“It is sad and terrible that our nation has seen a rise in polarization, with our unity as a country occasionally under jeopardy. Anger exists over alleged instances of marginalization. Every region of Nigeria cries out for marginalization. Both Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan’s governments as well as the current one have experienced it.
“In order to promote national harmony and the quick development of our beloved nation, we, especially the youth, must begin somewhere. To change for a better tomorrow, we must start somewhere.
“Nigeria needs a patriotic leader who can provide equitable opportunities for self-actualization and national service to people from all tribes, geopolitical zones, and religious backgrounds. He ought to be a leader who really believes in the nation’s potential.
Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, a former high-ranking senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the former governor of Lagos state, Nigeria’s economic and commercial hub, and a national leader of the APC prior to his selection as the party’s presidential candidate, is without a doubt the man with these admirable qualities.
