Otti is given the advice by Obi to not take advantage of God’s kindness and to compensate the civil servants

Peter Obi, the presidential candidate for the Labour Party, LP, in the recently-conducted general elections in the country, has scolded Alex Otti, the governor of Abia State, on the welfare of the poor in the state. Obi is running for president on the ticket of the Labour Party, LP.

An interdenominational thanksgiving Church service was organized at Trademore event centre, Okpara Square, in Umuahia, the capital of Abia state, in order to celebrate the recent inauguration of Otti as the new Governor of Abia state. Obi, a former Governor of Anambra state, was speaking as the Special Guest of Honour at the event. Otti was recently elected to the position of Governor of Abia state.

The Christian Association of Nigeria, which is located in the state of Abia, was in charge of leading the interfaith service.

During his remarks, Obi made an impassioned plea to the newly elected Governor of Abia to place a higher priority on the health and safety of the state’s retirees, civil servants, and the needy.

According to him, “do not take advantage of the grace that God has provided.”

“May everything you do be for the benefit of the disadvantaged people in Abia,” the message reads.

“Allow those in need to experience joy. Let the elderly and those receiving pensions enjoy themselves.

Obi made a pledge to return to Abia after four years to campaign for Otti’s reelection because he has implicit faith in the capacity and competency of the new state governor in delivering democratic dividends to every doorstep of the people of Abia. Obi will return to Abia to campaign for Otti’s reelection because he has implicit confidence in the capacity and competence of the new state governor.

During his address at the ceremony, Governor Otti expressed his thankfulness to God for his recent triumph as well as the results of the most recent election for governor, which took place not too long ago. He also stated that the time had come for the people of Abia.

The Chief Executive Officer of Abia, who was accompanied at the event by his wife, Mrs. Priscilla Otti, and the Deputy Governor of the State, Engr. Ikechukwu Emetu, gave an assurance to the people of Obi and the inhabitants of Abia that his administration would not only work for the poor, but would also help raise them out of a life of struggle and poverty.

A portion of what he stated was as follows: “we have come here to work for Abia people and Abia people we will work for.”

“We have not come to work for big men because we believe that big men will always find their way,” the leader of the group said.

“But the peasants, the farmers, and the poor people all over the place, we have promised to lift them out of poverty and that is something that we would do.”

xanderetch recalls that Otti, a former bank head and the Abia Gubernatorial flagbearer for the Labour Party, collected a total number of 175 467 votes cast to beat his nearest challenger of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Okey Ahiwe, who got 88,529 votes to come in second place. Otti received a total of 175, 467 votes cast.
