Defections to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) have been publicly announced by two prominent members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara North, Hon. Abubakar Suka Baba and Abubakar Musa, well known as Biology.

Musa, a former PDP candidate for the House of Representatives in the 2019 general election, and Baba, a former deputy speaker of the state House of Assembly, publicly defected to the APC at a colorful ceremony in Kaiama, the headquarters of the Kaiama local government area. Baba had previously served as the state chairman of the Nigeria Union of Teachers.
Prince Sunday Fagbemi, the state chairman of the APC, and senior party officials formally welcomed the two grassroots politicians as members of the ruling party.

Along with the APC chairman, Baba and Musa were welcomed into the party by Malam Razaq Lawal, head of the Alliance for Sustainable Kwara (ASK), and several members of the association.
