Posted by According to facts and his prior performance, Georgia-based American professor of medicine Prof. Emeka Umerah believes that only former vice president Atiku Abubakar, among other presidential contenders, can address Nigeria’s economic and security problems.
Prof. Umerah noted that had Atiku not stepped in, Nigeria would eventually have reverted to the dark era of military dictatorship and tyranny.
This was said by him during his keynote talk at the Diamond Ladies in Politics’ Saturday rally in Abuja in support of the PDP’s presidential candidate.
Emerah praised Atiku Abubakar for his part in delaying the purported agenda for a third term of former President Olusegun Obasanjo in 2007.
He recalled Atiku’s remarkable efforts to revive the economy while President Obasanjo was in power and said it was imperative that voters choose him to handle the nation’s mounting economic and security issues.
Thus, he urged the PDP’s disgruntled leaders to set aside their differences and work together to secure the APC’s loss in the presidential election.
