The Rivers State High Court has announced the start of vacation

On August 1, 2023, the Rivers State High Court will start its yearly vacation.

This information was provided by Justice Simeon Chibuzor-Amadi, the state’s chief judge, in a declaration made by David Ihua Maduenyi, the chief registrar of the state high court.

The State High Court’s order 49, rule 4, which stipulates that all of the High Court’s judicial divisions must remain closed throughout the vacation, according to Maduenyi, mandates the vacation.

The notification further mentioned that regular court sessions would resume on September 28, 2023, a Thursday.

The Chief Registrar gave the assurance that any of the vacation judges who would be chosen by the Chief Judge would hear urgent matters filed during the break.
