According to El Nacional, Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has informed his two players, Toni Kroos and Fede Valverde, that there is only one open midfield position this season and he can only keep one of them at the club.
Eduardo Camavinga of Real Madrid is predicted to start, and Aurelien Tchouameni is predicted to play the pivot position consistently.
Jude Bellingham, who joined Real Madrid in the summer, is expected to play a significant role for Ancelotti’s team this year, leaving just one slot open in the four-man midfield.
But recently, Los Blancos have relied heavily on both Kroos and Valverde.
Valverde is more of an engine and also more dynamic, whereas Kross thrives with his metronomic passing control.
Since joining Real Madrid in 2014 and moving to Santiago Bernabeu, Kroos has participated in 417 matches. The German has so far contributed 89 assists and 27 goals across all competitions.
Contrarily, Valverde was in outstanding form for Madrid previous season, contributing to seven assists and 12 goals in 56 games played in various tournaments.
However, Real Madrid can only use one of the midfielders in the team for the upcoming campaign, and Kroos is the one who will likely start ahead of Valverde.
