Unrest in Lagos: Tajudeen Olanrewaju Bakare is wanted by police

Posted by

In response to a video that surfaced earlier this week showing a guy brandishing a pump action rifle and endangering public order, the CSP Egbeyemi-led Rapid Response Squad (RRS), acting on useful information, conducted a sting operation on the suspect’s home in the state’s Surulere region.

Three pump action rifles, one Beretta handgun magazine, one spent 9mm round, one spent and three live rounds, and a photo frame of the suspect were all discovered in the suspect’s home.

Tajudeen Olanrewaju Bakare, the suspect, is now listed as wanted after narrowly avoiding capture. Any information that assists in his arrest would be much valued and handled in the strictest of confidence.

The Lagos State Police Command again urges all troublemakers to stay away from the state because anyone found wanting will be dealt with in accordance with the law, while thanking Lagosians for their vigilance and fast information to security agencies.
