Uzoenyi, a former Super Eagles winger, quits Rangers

With Rangers, Ejike Uzoenyi won’t play in the 2023–24 Nigeria Professional Football League season.

The Flying Antelopes’ NPFL preseason preparations have been without the former Super Eagles forward.

The 35-year-old may have ended his active football career, according to Rangers media representative Nobert Okolie.

The NPFL veteran skipped the meeting to discuss a contract extension with the team, according to information obtained by xandertech.

The last time Uzoenyi played was in Rangers’ Federation Cup 2023 loss to Bendel Insurance in Asaba.

He participated in more than 60 games for the NPFL champions seven times.

Uzoenyi had previously played for Enyimba, the current NPFL winners.
