On Sunday, Senator Aliyu Wamakko (APC-Sokoto North) expressed his condolences to the residents of Tangaza Local Government Area following an attack by bandits, which resulted in the deaths of a large number of persons in several villages.

In a statement that was released by Malam Bashar Abubakar, who serves as Wamakko’s Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Wamakko expressed his condolences to the grieving families who had lost loved ones.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), armed individuals who are thought to be bandits terrorizing the state began an attack on the inhabitants of six communities in the Tangaza Local Government Area of Sokoto state on Saturday.

The incident was responsible for the deaths of at least thirty people and left a great number of other people injured.
Wamakko, the head of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the state, referred to the situation as terrible and ungodly when he spoke about it.

“In light of this incident, the appropriate authorities should move quickly to take the required actions and see to it that those responsible are brought to justice so that they can experience the full force of the law.
“I condole with the people of the area and pray to Allah the Almighty to forgive the deceased and reward them with Jannatul Firdausi as their final abode,” he said. “I pray that Allah the Almighty will forgive the deceased and reward them with Jannatul Firdausi.”
The congressman also prayed for the speedy recovery of individuals who were injured to varying degrees and are currently being treated at the hospital for their injuries. (NAN)
