On Friday, the Force Commander made the commitment during an operational visit to Blangoua, which is located in Cameroon, as well as Bagasola and Bibi, both of which are located in the Chad Republic and are sectors 1 and 2, respectively.

Maj. Gen. Chibuisi, who stated that the purpose of the visit was to assess the nautical capacity of MNJTF, also urged troops under the Task Force to remain steadfast in their support of the operation to consolidate recent gains recorded during Operation Lake Sanity, which has significantly weakened the capacity of Boko Haram to plan and operate in the Lake Chad Islands known as “Tumbus.” The mission of the visit was to assess the nautical capacity of MNJTF.

The operational tour to Cameroon and Chad comes a day after a similar visit to Mallam-Fatori in Nigeria, Diffa and Bosso in Niger Republic. This is in keeping with ongoing efforts to defeat terrorism and insurgency in the Lake Chad Basin. Cameroon and Chad are both located in central Africa.

According to the opinions of those who specialize in matters of national security, the MNJTF played a significant role in establishing peace and stability in the area.
