Posted by Chinenye Vera Okonkwo, a 33-year-old Nigerian student at Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU), was pronounced dead on the spot after being critically injured in an accident involving two vehicles in the city center of Glasgow, UK.
According to the police, a woman was taken into custody in connection with the incident. Ms. Okonkwo was a master’s student in public health at GCU.
The student’s family stated in a statement that the police department issued: Chinenye was an amazing young woman who was kind, smart and had a lot of faith in God. She was driven to achieve success, and she overcame all challenges.
She always had time for everyone and was very family-oriented. Without her, our lives will never be the same.
Since January of last year, the late Nigerian student had been enrolled at Glasgow.
