After grilling, DSS releases Fani-Kayode on bail

Femi Fani-Kayode, the former Aviation Minister, has been released by the Department of State Services.

Peter Afunanya, a spokesperson for the DSS, has confirmed Fani Kayode’s presence at the secret service’s headquarters.

In response to the invitation extended to him, the former minister showed up to the service at 9:00 a.m., as the DSS spokesperson stated in a statement.

Afunanya stated, “In response to the invitation extended to him by the Service, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode has been with the DSS since 9 am today, February 13, 2023.”

After the former minister said that the People’s Democratic Party presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, had a secret meeting with some army generals, the agency sent him an invitation.

However, the Defense Headquarters later stated that it was committed to democracy and denied the alleged meeting.
