Tinubu promises, “We Will Eliminate Corruption and Drive Away Madness Called Kidnappers.”

The candidate for president of the APC, Bola Tinubu, asserts that since the party came to power in 2015, President Muhammadu Buhari has not done enough to eradicate the “dirt” of corruption, kidnapping for ransom, and other issues in Nigeria.

Mr. Tinubu, a former governor of Lagos and national leader of the ruling APC, said that Mr. Buhari tried to clean up Nigeria’s “dirt” (an allusion to the many problems that plague Africa’s most populous nation, particularly high-level corruption and widespread insecurity).

Mr. Tinubu stated, “All of us, as Nigerians, we’ve seen leaders,” despite the APC’s pledge to eradicate corruption and insecurity prior to the 2015 presidential election. Some of you were not born at the same time as those leaders.

However, new leaders emerged in 2014 and 2013; They swept the dirt in 2015 However, the dirt remains on the ground. More sweeping is required. After that, I applied to be a vacuum cleaner so that we could remove the dirt.

Mr. Tinubu said this on Thursday during a rally in Sokoto attended by President Buhari.

We are grateful to God and Aliu Wamako for creating the Sokoto APC. We’re grateful to President Buhari. Buhari said! We appreciate it. We swear to put in a lot of effort. The APC presidential candidate added, “We will eradicate corruption.” Kidnappers, who are insane, will be driven away by us. We will work hard to eliminate trash from Nigeria.

Since the beginning of his campaign, Mr. Tinubu has criticized a number of Mr. Buhari’s policies, particularly the naira redesign policy. His political ally, Governor Nasir El-Rufai, has promised that if Mr. Tinubu is elected, he will reverse some of the policy’s decisions.
