Atiku slams Tinubu: “You’re Now Distancing Yourself From APC’s Failures”

Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), claimed that Bola Tinubu, the candidate for the All Progressives Congress (APC), was attempting to separate himself from the shortcomings of President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration.

Atiku claimed that Tinubu’s recent critiques of Buhari’s administration were an effort to distance himself from the failings of the current administration.

The former vice president responded to Tinubu’s statement that “they increased the exchange rate from N200 to N800” through his Special Assistant on Public Communication, Phrank Shaibu.

At a campaign event in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Tinubu claimed that if the problem had been handled sooner, Nigeria would not be in the current state it is in.

Atiku bemoaned Tinubu’s distance from the APC’s shortcomings, which he had vehemently championed since 2015.

According to a Shaibu statement,

“Tinubu has been unfairly criticizing Buhari while attempting to distance himself from the shortcomings of the APC, which he vehemently championed over the past eight years.

“Nigerians must not fall for this charlatan’s deception that he is now claiming to be on the side of the people.

It’s ironic that Tinubu, who proudly served as the APC’s national leader for the past eight years, would attempt to undermine the president in his vain and desperate bid for power.
