Steve Cooper, the manager of Nottingham Forest, has provided an update on Ola Aina’s absence from the team’s 2-1 victory over Sheffield United on Friday night at home.

Surprisingly, Aina was left off of Forest’s matchday squad for the contest at the City Ground.
The 26-year-old played a part in Cooper’s team’s opening-day loss at Arsenal after joining the Tricky Trees on a free transfer last month.

Cooper disclosed that the Nigerian international had been hurt during practice and was unable to play.
The versatile defender should be available to play against Manchester United at Old Trafford next week, the 43-year-old added.

He recently tweaked his groin during training. He didn’t quite make it, despite our best efforts to get him in shape, the man told NottinghamshireLive.
“It’s not a major issue. We’ll see how things go for the following week or perhaps the cup match (against Burnley). Although it’s not too bad, he will be unavailable for a while.
