Exco of Pro-Amaechi APC in Rivers State Denies Any Connections to Wike, PDP

Party loyalists in Rivers State who supported Rotimi Amaechi while she was transportation minister have vehemently denied any ties to Nyesom Wike, who is minister of the federal capital territory (FCT), or the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Chief Emeka Beke, who was an associate of Amaechi and chair of the state’s defunct APC executive, denied the accusation yesterday during a news briefing in Port Harcourt.

Rumors began to circulate that Beke may have broken up with Amaechi after a video of him smiling and hogging a function in Port Harcourt over the weekend went viral.

He adamantly maintained that he is the sole duly constituted APC leader in the state, highlighting the absence of any affiliation with Wike. He informed us that a fellow club member of his was celebrating his 60th birthday at the gathering.

According to Beke, he noticed Wike and a lot of other people at the event. As he was chatting with friends, they begged him to say hello to the FCT minister, but he declined.

“First of all, there is absolutely zero alignment,” he declared. My group, the Boys Company of Nigeria, was founded by Isobo Jack, who is also our president and a founding member. We were invited to his 60th birthday party.
