Real Madrid midfielder, Luka Modric has revealed how his team will approach their UEFA Champions League semifinal second-leg tie against Manchester City next Wednesday at the Etihad Stadium.
Modric featured as Real Madrid drew 1-1 with Manchester City in the Champions League semi final first-leg encounter on Tuesday night.
Two goals from Vinicius and Kevin de Bruyne ensured both Real Madrid and Man City drew at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Speaking to UEFA after the game (via BBC), Modric said Carlo Ancelotti’s side would enter the second leg with the same confidence and optimism that they can beat Man City in England.
“We merited a better result than this. But we will enter the second leg with the same confidence and optimism that we can win over there.
“Neither team comes away from this with a big advantage. The tie is open, about 50-50 – and we were pretty sure that nothing would be settled tonight,” Modric said.
