According to the management of the Bauchi State Universal Basic Education Board SUBEB, the student-teacher ratio in each lesson was one teacher to 79 students in the most recent annual school census.
According to a statement made by Mohammed Abdullahi, the Public Relations Officer PRO of the Bauchi SUBEB, the management of BASUBEB was made aware of a news report by an internet outlet that claimed each of the 79 schools in the Misau Local Government only had one teacher.
According to Abdullahi, the material that was released was misleading, inaccurate, and completely wrong, and the agency does not wish to engage in conflict with anyone.
To clear up any confusion, the pupil-teacher ratio in the most recent annual school census was 1-79. This shows how many students a teacher instructs in a given lesson.
“We encourage the public to ignore the misleading information that was previously published and accept the accurate information that the board has made available.
“It was found following the most recent Annual School Census that there is a teacher shortage throughout the state. In order to fill the gap where approval has already been granted in that regard, a document was addressed to His Excellency requesting his approval of the recruitment of teachers.
