John Owan Enoh, the recently appointed Minister of Sports, has stated he did not solicit President Bola Tinubu for the position.

Enoh was responding to complaints about his lack of experience in the field.
He was given the job of 36th Minister of Sports by Tinubu despite having no prior experience in the field.

Enoh, who was involved in farming before transitioning, said he is improving, though.
Shortly after taking office, the 57-year-old told Daily Trust: “I didn’t lobby to be sports minister.

“President Bola Tinubu concluded that I was suitable for the job and assigned it to me.
“Since this portfolio was given to me, I’ve been reading about sports.”
