Mighty Jets’ head coach and Edel FC’s manager will both go before the NNL disciplinary committee

Aminu Musa, the head coach of the Mighty Jets, and the management group of Edel FC have been called in for questioning by the Nigeria National League (NNL).

For his comments made during an interview he gave following his team’s 0-2 loss to EFCC in the final group game played at the Area Playground, Garki Abuja, Musa is called to appear in court.

Aminu was reported as criticizing the Nigerian Football system, the Nigeria Referees Association (NRA), and the Nigeria National League, alleging that they plotted to have his team disqualified from serving as the Group A1 representative in the upcoming Super Eight playoffs.

To account for the assault on match officials that occurred at the Awka City Stadium in Anambra following the team’s last Group B3 encounter against Giant Brillars of Enugu, Olise Onuchukwu, Edel FC’s general manager, the club secretary, and the Anambra FA secretary are also scheduled to appear before the NNL Compliant Unit.

On social media, gory images and videos that displayed the severity of the pounding the officials took during the game that Giant Brillars won 0-1 trended.

The Compliant Unit will meet with all invited parties on Thursday, June 15, at 10 a.m.
