N3bn Claim My Suspension, Planned – Treasurer of the Labour Party

Accusations that the national chairman, Abure, embezzled more than N3 billion from the N3.5 billion collected for the 2023 campaigns led to the suspension of the Labour Party’s national treasurer, Mrs. Oluchi Opara. Opara said that the party’s decision to punish her was deliberate and in violation of party regulations.

Opara made these remarks in response to the six-month suspension imposed on her by the national leadership of the Labour Party (LP) following her Monday accusation that Abure had wasted N3 billion of the 3.5 billion Naira collected for the 2023 campaigns.

Yesterday, the party’s top brass denied that any of their accounts had received the N3.5 billion intended for the campaign.
