Retired Col. Garba Moyi, the Sokoto State Commissioner for Careers and Security Matters, has switched parties to the All Progressives Congress (APC) (APC).
This is said in a statement released on Sunday in Abuja by Malam Bashar Abubakar, Sen. Aliyu Wamakko’s (APC- Sokoto North) Special Assistant for New Media.
According to NAN, this occurred just 24 hours after Alhaji Salihu Kalanjeni, the chairman of the Tangaza Local Government Council, switched from the PDP to the APC.
Along with eight current council members and two former council members, Kalanjeni deserted.
He said that Wamakko, the APC’s leader in the State, welcomed Moyi into the party.
According to Abubakar, the Commissioner also declared his resignation from the state executive council and the PDP, which is now in power.
Moyi was welcomed by Wamakko, who tasked him with working hard to ensure that the APC won the upcoming general elections in 2023 in the Sokoto East Senatorial District and the entire State.
