Posted by Femi Fani-Kayode, a former Aviation Minister, referred to Godwin Emefiele, Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, as a satan sent to afflict Nigerians on Friday.
According to Fani-Kayode, Satan’s use of Emefiele would soon abandon him.
The chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, wrote in a tweet: Godwin, Satan sent you to afflict Nigeria. You are a beast and an embarrassing brat.
“The devil who is using you will soon leave you and drop you like toilet paper. After that, the Nigerian populace will slay you and compel you to pay for your atrocities.
The APC leader also said that the Federal Government has accepted the Supreme Court’s decision.
“The Federal Government (FG) has declared that the old naira notes will continue to be accepted as legal tender until the Supreme Court rules otherwise. He wrote, “We WIN.”
Nigerians have criticized Emefiele for making the Naira scarce following the redesign of the N200, N500, and N1000 notes.
The Federal Government was prevented from discontinuing the use of the old denominations on February 10 by the Supreme Court, despite the CBN’s efforts to do so.
