Sincerely, it’s not my fault – Odegaard on leaving Arsenal

Martin Odegaard, the captain of Arsenal, has expressed a desire to stay with the team for a long time.

However, Odegaard asserted: “It is not on me honestly” in an interview with TV2.

The Norwegian midfielder had a strong campaign with the Gunners, contributing seven assists and 15 Premier League goals as they finished second to Manchester City.

This summer, Odegaard’s strong play led to links to Paris Saint-Germain.

However, the midfielder is eager to commit to Arsenal in a new deal.

He declared, “I hope to stay at Arsenal for a very long time. I’m extremely happy here. After the summer, we’ll see how the contract situation is.

“I didn’t speak to Arsenal; to be completely honest, it’s not on me; there’s no rush, my contract is still long.”
