Terrifying Attack! West Amotekun Police in Lagos are on high alert

Lagos State Command Commissioner of Police Abiodun Alabi has reassured residents of appropriate security following indications that the state may be on some people’s radar who are preparing attacks throughout the country.

Alabi gave this promise in a statement issued on Sunday by Benjamin Hundeyin, the state police public relations officer.

“The command is also closely collaborating with sister security services to ensure that no individual or group of individuals succeeds in upsetting the tranquility and quiet that the good people of Lagos State enjoy,” he said.

“I want to utilize this platform to ease Lagosians’ anxieties and reassure them that all human, material, and operational resources have been completely and optimally deployed across the length and breadth of the state, especially at border towns, to ensure there is absolutely no breach of the peace.

All inhabitants of Lagos State are advised to carry out their legal obligations without hesitation or fear in light of the properly thought out security plans and procedures.

“Lagosians are likewise urged to exercise extreme caution and alert security officials to any suspicious activity or persons.”

In an earlier Twitter Space webinar on Saturday, Hundeyin responded to concerns from The XANDERTECH regarding allegations of a potential terrorist assault planned for Lagos and the police’s readiness, noting that the police were also receiving intelligence reports.

We are really collaborating with other security services, Hundeyin had stated. I frequently travel with Abiodun Alabi, the commissioner of police, and the Department of State Services frequently sends us intelligence reports.

According to him, Lagos people must help the police and other security services by promptly informing them of any suspicious movements.

The Osun State administration is making every effort to keep the state safe, according to Funke Egbemode, Commissioner for Information and Civic Orientation.

But out of concern for her safety, she declined to discuss the methods employed to protect the state’s forests.

“We are going above and beyond, just like we have since 2018, to keep Osun people safe,” she stated.

“To safeguard the safety of people and property, all of our security services work together. I won’t share our tactics, but we will keep the Osun people secure.

The Amotekun Corps will fend off infiltrators who might be plotting an attack on the state through its woodlands, according to the Ogun State Government.

When discussing the upcoming terrorist attack with one of our correspondents in Abeokuta, Remi Hazzan, the special adviser to the governor of Ogun State on public communication, made this statement.

Despite being in the South-West, which is said to be under attack, Ogun State is safe, according to Hazzan, who also added that the Amotekun Corps is manning local areas while the state’s police await intelligence reports.

“For us in Ogun State, we have never hidden the fact that security is a challenge, and we would double all that we have done so far to increase intelligentsia effort so that we do more to prevent crime instead of trying to perform damage repair after it has been done,” he said.
