The directive from IPMAN to close gas stations applies only to Borno State

IPMAN in Borno provided the instruction, which only applies to filling stations. Each IPMAN member will continue to distribute and sell gasoline, diesel, and kerosene outside of Borno.

Members of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) have been instructed to cease all operations by the Borno chapter.

The marketers were also instructed to suspend the payment for ordering products from source until further notice, according to a statement that was signed on Tuesday by IPMAN chairman Mohammed Kuluwu in the state.

The association stated that the decision was based on the following: “the critical situation as it affect our sourcing and selling of product at lost (sic) and the action of the authority to impose the selling of product at a lost price (sic) on our side”
