The Ekiti Assembly will have a final plenary for departing members

On Monday, June 5, 2023, the Ekiti State House of Assembly will hold a concluding plenary before dissolving the sixth Assembly.

The plenary will honor the departing members for their devotion to their constituents, the legislative branch, and the state as a whole, according to a statement from the Clerk of the House, Mr. Tola Esan.

Esan added that the plenary will give Assembly members and the general public the chance to consider the achievements and difficulties of the previous years.

The 6th Assembly’s legislative activities will come to an end with the dissolution, which will be carried out by Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji in accordance with the Nigerian Constitution and the Assembly’s rules, in order to make way for the inauguration of the 7th Assembly on Tuesday, June 6, 2023.

At 10:00 am, the plenary is set to start.
