The UK’s Premier Gospel Awards’ Best International Act goes to Mercy Chinwo

Mercy Chinwo, a well-known Nigerian gospel singer, was named Best International Act at the 2023 Premier Gospel Awards in the UK.

The Premier Gospel Awards, which took place on Friday at Chelsea, London’s illustrious Cadogan Hall, effectively commemorated 50 years of gospel music in the UK.

The delighted Mercy remarked of the honor, “I’m humbled and honored to win this esteemed prize. I want to express my gratitude to God for His mercy and the outstanding help I have received from my friends, family, and fans throughout this journey. This honor belongs to everyone who believes in the ability of music to touch hearts and transform lives, not just to me.

Additionally, she shared the award photo on her Instagram page on Tuesday and added the caption: “GOD IS GOOD. Thank you, Premier Gospel, for the honor. God bless you everyone. Thank you to everyone who voted.

The winner was announced alongside eight other honorees, including Jireh for Best Song: Limoblaze, Annatoria for Best Female Vocalist, Limoblaze for Best Male Vocalist, The Spirituals for Choir of the Year, Tofunmi Adorna for Best Newcomer, Triple O for Best Album, and Guvna B for Best Video.
