Posted by In the upcoming election, Labour Party, LP presidential candidate Mr. Peter Obi has pledged to provide youth with skills training to address Nigeria’s unemployment problem.
During a courtesy visit to the palace of the Emir of Zazzau, Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, in Zaria, the presidential candidate complained that despite its vast, fertile land, the north has not been properly utilized.
He promised, “I will prioritize agriculture to address unemployment to provide you with ample opportunities to showcase their talents for their development and the development of the nation.”
In addition, Obi pledged to revive dying industries in Kaduna and Kano states in order to employ thousands of youths and contribute to the country’s development.
He promised that, if elected, Nigerians would no longer be deceived into voting along ethnic, religious, and sectional lines. However, he also said that measures would be taken to ensure that the divisive politics that some politicians engage in are completely ignored for issues and credibility politics.
Yusuf Datti Baba Ahmed, the LP’s vice-presidential candidate and a native of Zaria, urged Nigerians to cast large votes for the party, promising that they would put in a lot of effort to support the Nigerian people.
