2023 UPDATE: NNPP Says APC, PDP Worried About Coming Defeat

The opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC) are reportedly afraid of losing the next 2023 elections, according to the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).

This was said in an interview with the BBC Hausa service by Malam Aminu Ibrahim Ringim, the Jigawa State NNPP candidate for governor.

Given that the APC and PDP have failed the nation for the past 22 years, the lawmaker said he was confident that the general public would not make the same mistakes of voting for them again.

He added that the NNPP was created to make up for the crimes committed during the PDP and APC’s tenure in office.

He stated:

The APC and PDP are concerned that Nigerians may reject the party in the upcoming general election due to its growth, acceptance, and popularity among voters in Jigawa State and around the nation.

“How to secure the nation, create employment opportunities for our burgeoning youth, and strengthen the economies of our states and the nation are our top priorities.

“For instance, Jigawa State has a thorough industrialization plan that invites actual investors to make investments with great returns for both the investors and the entire Jigawa population.

“This will without a doubt strengthen the government’s ability to generate cash, give more young people jobs, and foster an environment that fosters unrestricted trade and enterprise, which will ultimately contribute to the state’s security,”

He clarified that the party is dedicated to and prepared to win the upcoming elections both at the state and federal levels.
