The Department of State Services (DSS) later invited Bawa for questioning.

Odumosu, however, denied being aware of such an appointment in a statement that he published and signed on Wednesday.

He referred to the appointment’s distribution as false and advised Nigerians to ignore the rumor.

“Good morning to all of you. Between yesterday and today, I’ve received a ton of calls and mails about an alleged “EFCC Appointment”. I just want to take this chance to refute this information and declare that it is entirely false.

He declared, “This information must have come from troublemakers and should be completely disregarded.”
