Bruno Fernandes, a Manchester United midfielder, has claimed responsibility for Leeds United’s opening goal in Wednesday’s 2-2 Premier League draw.
According to Fernandes, he was to blame and should have been stronger in the second duel because Leeds got the ball and scored.
Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho scored two goals in the second half to help Man United draw 2-2 with Leeds at Old Trafford.
Fernandes stated to Premier League Productions, “Obviously, we are not happy with the result.”
“Today, our primary objective was to win the game. We haven’t.
“The team had a great response; it was a huge response, which was wonderful to see, but it was not the outcome we wanted.
I should have been stronger in the second duel, I won the first duel, but in the second I should have been stronger, they got the ball, and they scored a goal. “It was nothing to do with [team] changes; it doesn’t mean anything. In the first few minutes of the game, we conceded a goal.
We need to look forward to the next game right now because it is coming up quickly. They are once farther away. It will be a big game once more, but we hope for a different outcome.”
