Dessers, a Super Eagles attacker, is about to switch from Cremonese to Rangers

Glasgow Rangers, one of the biggest clubs in the Scottish Premiership, are almost ready to sign Nigerian attacker Cyriel Dessers.

Rangers and Cremonese are reportedly close to reaching a deal for the striker, according to reports in Italy.

Dessers will cost the Gers €4.2m plus €1m in add-ons.

The 28-year-old only joined Cremonese last summer after leaving KRC Genk of the Belgian Pro League.

Dessers, though, is adamant about leaving the team after they were demoted from Serie A.

In 26 league appearances for Cremonese in the 2022–23 season, he scored six goals.

Rangers will participate in the UEFA Champions League preliminary rounds after placing second in the Scottish Premiership previous season.
